House Rule #1 (AKA The Golden Rule)

Greg is never, never allowed to play a Sidereal. Not Greg <- Not Greg

  • Lunars needn't eat the heart's blood of their targets in order to gain their shape. They instead need only drink some blood of the target - not neccessarily killing the target.

[edit] Character Creation

Characters may be any Celestial Exalted type. Characters may choose to be part of the Cult of the Illuminated, using the character creation rules found in said supplement. In situations where charms have been superceded by excellencies since 1E, the character may either take the excellency, or the original 1E charm. (Note that said charm may not serve as a prereq for anything in 2E now, as it doesn't exist in 2E). A character not involved with the cult has the following differences, to help balance things out:

  • Starting Essence of 3
  • 9 Background points, using the base backgrounds for your type of Exalt
  • Starting charms, plus one Ox-Body Technique.
    • Solars also get one 'defense-related' charm.
    • Solars start with a total of 30 abilities
    • Lunars start with an extra 10 freebies, which must be spent on Attributes or Abilities.
    • Lunars gain the ability to perform the ritual hunt without needing to actually kill the target - only taste/consume part of it in some fashion. This blood-taste is permanent (unlike the Hummingbird knack), and counts as having the hummingbird knack for things that require it as a prerequisite.

As far as I know, this is 'it', save for some ambiguity regarding the final bullet point - this was changed since the discussion, due to the new ownership of the 2E Lunar book, and a better way to say what Whitney originally was intending. Otherwise, everything should be considered ST-approved, and subject to only minor change, but still enough to get your characters written up. --Greglink 12:54, 11 May 2007 (CDT)

Thanks to Greg - these are ST approved.  :) --Whitney 20:56, 11 May 2007 (CDT)
